Read MoreThe Xterra returns for 2001 with minor changes. It is again available in two trims, XE and SE, in 2WD or 4WD models. The XE now comes equipped with a tubular roof rack and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. Alloy wheels, an in-dash 6-disc CD changer, and steering wheel audio controls have all been added to the SE standard equipment list. Additional SE upgrades include fog lights, limited slip differential, a leather steering wheel, and power windows, mirrors and door locks. New options being offered for this year include a T-lamp grill guard, an in-cabin microfilter, and an auto dimming EC mirror. Many new exterior colors are also being offered: Salsa, Just Blue, Gold Rush, Khaki, and Mineral Blue.
