Read MoreThe 2001 Ford Taurus returns as a carryover model with minor functional changes. Five models are available: LX, SE, SES, SEL, and SE Wagon. The LX represents the entry level, and the SEL offers the highest level of comfort and luxury for the Taurus. A new exterior color, Spruce Green, has been added, and all models now come standard with an 18-gallon fuel tank. A Lower Anchor and Tether for Children (LATCH) anchoring system has also been incorporated throughout the entire model lineup. Power locks are standard this year, and available options include a rear spoiler, anti-lock brakes, side impact air bags, and an upgraded premium audio group. Power adjustable control pedals and six-passenger seating are also offered.
