It uses historic modernist symbolism with references to the idioms of old time Mississippi steamboats. The fact that the Ottoni kettle is able to boil water is no joke, and it does so as fast and efficiently as any other kettle. Although it is one of the more decorative designs by Bodum, its quality is still the highest. The kettle's body is made of 18/10 hand polished stainless steel. The mahogany wood handle is a laminate of several layers and glued with waterproof glue. A final covering lacquer seals the wood against steam.
