The Vantage name has been used by Aston Martin since 1950 to identify the highest performance model in a particular model line. The first Aston Martin to ever be powered by a 12-cylinder engine, the Vantage has a claimed 0-60 time of under 5 seconds, with a top speed of 185 mph. Hand built in Newport Pagnell, England, the DB7 Vantage went on sale in the fall of 2000 in 31 countries throughout the world.
