The stressful task of destroying an onslaught of massive rocks had a way of quickening your pulse, in spite of primitive graphics and humble audio effects. Asteroids is now available for Game Boy Color, with greatly improved pre-rendered 3D graphics, new enemies and special battle zones. Activision is too smart to alter the basic mechanics of a classic, but they've added interesting twists like black holes to provide more diversity from level to level. Two players can play simultaneously via the Game Link cable, and Asteroids is backwards compatible with any pre-existing Game Boy unit. "
